Secret Society-Inspired Wedding Invitations
If you’re fascinated by secret societies – the Freemasons, the Odd Fellows, the Knights Templar – and the mystery and intrigue that often surrounds them, then these unique, secret society-inspired wedding invitations by Quill & Fox are going to rock your world. The main invitation is a folding card adorned with Masonic imagery and a variety of vintage typefaces, and the design perfectly captures the mystic, slightly occult-ish feel that thoughts of secret societies evoke. I have a feeling that this is going to be a really awesome wedding.

Vintage Floral Booklet Wedding Invitations

These completely crush-worthy, custom booklet wedding invitations were designed by Jessica Eagon for her upcoming wedding, and they are the absolute epitome of romance. The outer cover was letterpress printed by Typoretum onto heavy Saunders Waterford paper, and the invitation features beautiful, vintage-inspired florals and soft, dusty pink banners that hold the wedding details. Each digitally printed page within the wedding booklet gives invited guests wedding details – directions, accomodation information, choices on the wedding breakfast menu – and each invite is tucked into a rose-stamped bag with a coordinating, dusty rose ribbon.
You can see more details of these lovely invitations here.

Em’s Purple Crayon-Themed Birthday Party Invites

Today’s invitation crush comes to us from Julie of Duet Letterpress, who designed these darling 2nd birthday party invites for her daughter, Emily. Em loves to color and read, and one of her favorite books just happens to be Harold and the Purple Crayon, which was the inspiration behind these adorable letterpress invitations.
These custom invitations came packaged in little kraft boxes with custom, wraparound mailing labels, and purple “love” stamps were the perfect finishing touch. Inside, wrapped in orchid and lilac twine, were the beet purple and soft, pinkish purple birthday invites and a washi tape-sealed envelope that contained two purple crayons, just what guests would need for a party that included plenty of coloring! A super sweet photo of Em in her second birthday party attire was clipped to the purple package, which was tucked into the purple crinkle paper-filled kraft box.
See some of the purple-hued highlights from Em’s 2nd birthday celebration over on the Duet Letterpress blog. Hint : the cake matches the invitations. Cuteness!

Wedding Invitation Trend : Chalkboards
There’s something in the air, and I think it’s chalk dust. Designers and stylists like Dana Tanamachi and Shana Faust have used the nostalgic medium to create amazing work and to help make chalkboards one of the top wedding trends of the day. And invitation designers, inspired by the possibilities, are creating beautiful wedding invites that evoke school days and sweet, simple times.

Abigail + Aled’s Whimsical Letterpress Wedding Invites

I let out a giggle of delight (a sure sign of a blossoming invitation crush) the moment I set my eyes upon these wonderfully whimsical wedding invites, designed by Aled Lewis for his July wedding to Abigail and letterpress printed by the always awesome Blush.
What’s not to love about these super sweet invites? Playful bunting waves “hello” as pretty florals cascade down each side of this unique wedding invitation. And one of my favorite elements, a double-decker bus illustration (love it!), scoots across the bottom, letting guests know how they can R.S.V.P. to what was certainly a festive celebration.
