Em’s Purple Crayon-Themed Birthday Party Invites

Purple Crayon Themed Birthday Party Invites

Today’s invitation crush comes to us from Julie of Duet Letterpress, who designed these darling 2nd birthday party invites for her daughter, Emily. Em loves to color and read, and one of her favorite books just happens to be Harold and the Purple Crayon, which was the inspiration behind these adorable letterpress invitations.

These custom invitations came packaged in little kraft boxes with custom, wraparound mailing labels, and purple “love” stamps were the perfect finishing touch. Inside, wrapped in orchid and lilac twine, were the beet purple and soft, pinkish purple birthday invites and a washi tape-sealed envelope that contained two purple crayons, just what guests would need for a party that included plenty of coloring! A super sweet photo of Em in her second birthday party attire was clipped to the purple package, which was tucked into the purple crinkle paper-filled kraft box.

See some of the purple-hued highlights from Em’s 2nd birthday celebration over on the Duet Letterpress blog. Hint : the cake matches the invitations. Cuteness!

Abigail + Aled’s Whimsical Letterpress Wedding Invites

Whimsical Teal & Yellow Letterpress Wedding Invites

I let out a giggle of delight (a sure sign of a blossoming invitation crush) the moment I set my eyes upon these wonderfully whimsical wedding invites, designed by Aled Lewis for his July wedding to Abigail and letterpress printed by the always awesome Blush.

What’s not to love about these super sweet invites? Playful bunting waves “hello” as pretty florals cascade down each side of this unique wedding invitation. And one of my favorite elements, a double-decker bus illustration (love it!), scoots across the bottom, letting guests know how they can R.S.V.P. to what was certainly a festive celebration.

I was browsing around Constellation & Co.’s lovely custom wedding invitation portfolio recently (talk about some crush-worthy invites!) when I spotted these super sweet “Citrus” invites, designed by Sarah Paulhus and letterpress printed by Constellation & Co. for Ashley & John’s May wedding. The jewel-toned, citrus-y color palette; the overprinted, pixel-style heart graphic; the stylin’ typography – what’s not to love?

Unique Coaster Wedding Invitations

Unique Coaster Wedding Invitations

It was crush at first sight when I spotted this unique coaster wedding suite over on Design Work Life last week. The suite, designed by Ross Clodfelter for Brittany Brown & William Goncharow’s big day, was letterpressed (by Device Printshop) and hand stamped onto drinking coasters for a look that’s mid-century modern meets romantic floral and so very chic. The hand stamped elements on the save the date and invitation envelopes only add to the visual appeal of this stunning suite.

Dave + Hollie’s Ticket Style Wedding Invitations

Vintage Ticket Wedding Invitations

Check out these bold black and white, ticket style wedding invitations by James Prunean of OOXX, which are absolutely oozing with vintage-inspired goodness.

The ornate invites were designed for Dave and Hollie, whose wedding took place on an orchard in Ontario, Canada. The couple rented a trolley to take their guests from the hotels to the farm, and OOXX decided to create their invite in the style of a ticket, with a tear off RSVP that could be mailed back. The invitations were printed on recycled paper that gave them a wonderful, vintage look.

Fairy Tale Map Save the Dates

Sweet Fairy Tale Map Save the Date

This undeniably sweet map save the date brings to mind princes and castles and happily ever afters. The charmingly unique design was created by Krista McCormick for her upcoming June wedding, and here’s what the bride-to-be has to say about the oh so romantic project:

I designed this “fairy tale” map save the date for my upcoming rustic wedding in June. I thought a map would be charming and helpful to our guests, showing all the important landmarks of the big day. My fiancé, Josh, and I grew up in the same little square-mile, tree-city town (Wenonah, New Jersey), which is the starting point on the map. I thought the business-sized, wedding website card would be easier for guests to carry along to the computer, and I just had to use the cute little envelopes!

We love the outdoors and are little kids at heart, so I think we are depicted well in our save the dates. I cut all 100 cards by hand! It took a lot of patience, but it was well worth it in the end.

Be sure to check out more of Krista’s invitation design work at her site, A Piece of Kake.

Unique Tiffany Blue Keepsake Wedding Invitations

Tiffanys Inspired Wedding Invitations

It’s no wonder that Tiffany Blue is one of the most inspirational colors around for all things wedding. The beautiful shade of teal conjures feelings of sophistication and luxury, along with images of the unforgettable Holly Golightly nibbling on a pastry in her little black dress. Romantic. Classic. Perfect inspiration for a wedding invitation. And this Tiffany-inspired invitation by UAE/Dubai-based invitation design studio, Natoof, is just as unforgettable as the iconic character.

The Tiffany Blue-inspired wedding required an invite which complimented the wedding theme, and Natoof transformed the trademark Tiffany gift box into a gorgeous, magnetic enclosure invitation box, tied with pure white ribbon and embellished with silver keys that look like the gorgeous key pendants at Tiffany’s.

Inside, an incredible laser cut acrylic wedding invitation awaits the swoons of recipients, who will most certainly be tucking this keepsake away for future reference.
