Brian + Allie’s Sunny Silkscreened Wedding Invitations

Sunny Silkscreened Wedding Invitations

It was crush at first sight when I spotted Brian and Allie’s unique, silkscreened and stamped wedding invitations over at FPO. The couple, who met while doing volunteer work at an orphanage in Mexico, wanted a design that would represent their eclectic personalities and incorporate a little bit of Mexico, as well as sunflowers, which were featured prominently in their ceremony. The result is a gorgeous invitation suite, designed by Kyle Marks, which exudes a rustic warmth and charm. Everything in the suite was silkscreened, hand stamped, and hand cut, giving each piece a unique, handmade feel. Find out more about this sunny wedding suite over at FPO.

Wine Harvest Wedding Invitations

Wine Harvest Wedding Invitations

Back in April, I featured Emily and Rocky’s incredibly unique (and awesome!) wine stain + cork save the dates, and I’m so excited today to be able to share their beautiful wedding invitation suite with you. Emily, one of the principal designers at Three Little Words, did an absolutely amazing job on this suite, and the project was undoubtedly a labor of love.

Wine Hued Letterpress Wedding Invitations

The gorgeous, wine hued invitations and coordinating pieces incorporate a wide array of techniques, including relief printed typographic letterpress invitations, as well as letterpressed reply cards and return addresses on the outer envelopes; canvas printed maps and screen printed menus and guest welcome bags; and a custom wax seal that’s definitely one of my favorite details. Emily designed and made everything in this stunning invitation suite herself, with the exception of the letterpress printed components, which is pretty amazing given that she was also the bride. Kudos to you, Emily!

Woodgrain + Calligraphy Letterpress Wedding Invitations

Woodgrain Calligraphy Letterpress Wedding Invitations

I’ve been a big fan of OneCanoeTwo’s wonderfully whimsical letterpress paper goodies for a while now, and I was absolutely delighted to see these lovely, custom letterpress wedding invitations that Beth of OneCanoeTwo designed for her cousin, Andrew, and his bride, Katie. I have a big soft spot for all things woodgrain, and the combination with gorgeous, dark purple and chartreuse inks, hand-drawn apples and banners, and lovely, custom calligraphy makes for a wonderfully unique wedding invitation that’s just the thing for an autumn celebration (and completely crush-worthy, too!).

George’s Playfully Boyish Baby Announcements

Playfully Boyish Letterpress Baby Announcements

Graphic designer, Kathryn Holeman, undoubtedly had a bunch of fun designing these custom baby announcements for the newest little addition to her family. Kathryn pulled out all the stops for this special occasion – letterpress printing, envelope liners, custom address labels, the works!

These charmingly boyish birth announcements, printed on 140# smooth, bright white acid free paper in midnight blue and light cyan, feature a heroic menagerie of boy favorites that spell out G-E-O-R-G-E. Included in the masculine lineup are superheroes, wizards, cowboys, soccer players, pirates, and knights.

Sweet Woodgrain Wedding Invitations

Sweet Woodgrain Wedding Invitations

I am crushing all over these oh so sweet charcoal gray and bright green wedding invitations, designed by Fine Day Press for their dear friends, Katherine and Robert. The design was inspired by the couple’s love of hiking – in fact, Robert proposed to Katherine while they were on a hike – and features many lovely little details, including a woodgrain pattern with the couple’s first initials “carved” into it, a custom return address stamp (ooh!), and pops of bright green in the form of twine and washi tape.

Alan + Megan’s Elegant Black & White Wedding Invitations

Elegant Black White Letterpress Wedding Invitations

Today I’m completely crushing on these elegant, modern black and white letterpress wedding invitations by Fourth Year Studio for Alan and Megan’s July celebration. The classic elegance of a black and white color palette is enhanced by wonderful textural details like blind debossing (swoon), a tulle wrap, and a gauzy, vellum overlay.

Dianna from Fourth Year Studio shares about this beautiful letterpress suite:

Megan and Alan are two talented young architects, and it was no surprise that they thoughtfully perfected every detail of their wedding. Their event was elegant, clean, and beautiful – modern with traditional undertones. The palette is simple with black and white with layers of complimentary textures.

After receiving an addressed calligraphy envelope with custom postage, the guest will pull out a package wrapped in tulle. As the tulle is unwrapped a vellum overlay is removed to offer a reveal of Megan and Alan’s names blind pressed with a deep relief into 220lb crane lettra cotton stock. A series of pressed bars accentuate the black text to add another layer of texture. A map of the wedding location illustrates a blind pressed river with the venues located. The final piece of the set is the rsvp pocket and reply card. It was important to house the smaller rsvp card and envelope without losing the feel and proportion of the set.

The pieces in the beautiful black and white wedding suite feature a fantastic crosshatch pattern, echoed in each piece, which gives a great depth and texture to the design. A chic “date dot” and classic typography complete this undeniably stylish paper ensemble. – via pin

Stitched Watercolor Birthday Party Invites

Stitched Watercolor Birthday Party Invites

It was crush at first sight when I spotted these lovely, custom 4th birthday party invites over on Pinterest recently. The fun and colorful watercolor invitations were designed by Danyelle of Dandee Designs for Audrey, who also helped out by hand painting over the “Let’s Dance” type on the invites to create a unique spectrum of pinks, yellows, and oranges on each individual invite. Sewn, yellow details help break up the text and add an air of whimsy to this wonderfully original design.
