I’m totally crushing on these beautiful 20’s ephemera inspired letterpress wedding invitations and RSVP cards by Mama’s Sauce. The romantic rose and vine illustrations evoke traditional romance, while the orange and sage green palette add a modern twist, and I love the piece of vine that curves around the wedding details, framing them perfectly. Designed by Austin Petito of Mama’s Sauce.

Meaty 30th Birthday Party Invitations

Holy cow, and I mean that literally! Kathleen from Twig & Thistle created the most awesome 30th birthday party invitations for her husband’s big day. He’s a bit of a “meat tooth”, as she says, and she created the invitations with a subtle carnivorous theme in mind. She letterpressed the invite details in white ink (RSVP postcards were digitally printed) and made fabulous use of Gmund Savanna cardstock — yummy faux bois serves as a perfect compliment to the stamped graphic elements, sturdy typography, and kraft paper envelopes that were folded to look like meat packaging and sealed with “meat” stickers. Absolutely brilliant!

Faux Bois Orchard Wedding Invitations

If you know me at all, then you know that I’m completely unable to resist pretty much anything with a faux bois pattern, especially paper goods. I am so crushing on these oh so sweet Faux Bois Orchard wedding invitations by Magpie Paperworks. The hand drawn heart and arrow with the couple’s initials is a wonderful touch, as are the lovely modern yet playful typography and the rustic apple illustration on the RSVP card. And I love the use of one of the most awesome papers ever, Gmund Savanna, as the faux bois base.

I’m also really digging these cool Rainbow Striped wedding invitations from Magpie Paperworks. I loves me some rainbows.

Cypress Letterpress Baby Announcements

I am completely enamored with these sweet and lovely custom letterpress birth announcements by Parrott Design Studio. The soft, rosy pink ink is a wonderful choice, and the cypress tree illustration for a new little one whose name is Cypress is perfect.

Ello There Wedding Invites + Save the Date Cards

I am absolutely taken with what I’m seeing from Ello There, including these wedding invitations that look like a record album with a sleeve. Their invite and save the date cards are wickedly clever, so fresh and fun, and I love how they incorporate type into their illustrations. Deco Diamonds Press Wedding Invitations

I’m so glad to see more Art Deco influenced invitations lately, and I hope to see even more in the coming months because I’d love to see how designers will take the Deco influence and translate the look to make it their own. Letterpress Light has done a fantastic job at taking inspiration from the clean, geometric shapes and patterns of the period to create these lovely Deco Diamonds wedding invites and RSVPs, which are created using a combination of uninked printing plates and flat printing. The result of the technique is a lovely, textured invite with vibrant color.

Additional pieces, such as save the date cards, information cards, and thank you cards, are available, and the colors and fonts can be customized for your occasion.

Alice in Wonderland Tea Party Invitations

It was love at first sight when I spotted these Alice in Wonderland inspired tea party invitations by Jag Nagra of Page 84 Design over on Tumblr. It was a lifelong dream of her best friend that they throw a Wonderland inspired Mad Tea Party, and Jag designed this beautiful invitation suite for the special event.

I can only imagine how much fun it must’ve been not only to design these wonderful fuchsia and gold invites, but also to carry out the clever process of informing guests about the party. First, a “you’re cordially invited” set went out to guests, and a few weeks later an 11″ x 17″ “calling card” was sent to each guest in a mailing tube with a riddle that guests answered by phone in order to find out more event details Read more about this fun tea party over at Page 84 Design.

Lucky, then these new destination wedding invites would certainly put me over the edge. Silver Anniversary Invitations

Swoon! These stunningly gorgeous silver anniversary letterpress invitations were created by UK based letterpress printer, Blush, for The Royal Oak Furniture Company and feature a cover with a simple but quite clever and effective tree ring motif surrounding the “25”. The slight tint used in printing gives the look of blind deboss with an added warmth, and the interior of the invites feature the same tint and a second color for the event details.

Peacock Wedding Invitations by Bespoke Press

Whether the inspiration comes from the bright, jewel tones in their feathers or their feathers themselves, peacocks are a hot trend in wedding invitation design right now. Brisbane, Australia based Bespoke Letterpress Boutique created this stunning, peacock-inspired wedding suite for the wedding of Annie & Kerrin. The invitation suite features gorgeous, stylized peacock feathers letterpressed in rich, teal blue (to match the bridesmaids’ dresses) and copper inks onto ivory cotton paper.
