Art Nouveau Wedding Invitations by Jeremy & Kathleen

This is one of the most beautiful Art Nouveau inspired wedding invitation suites that I’ve seen. Jeremy & Kathleen, who created this custom suite for Samantha and Robert, used stylized, organic pattern and type to perfectly capture the period feel, and the earthy color palette creates a lovely, romantic tone that really gives the invitation suite a modern touch. Antique gold envelopes add a bit of sparkle, but in a soft and subtle way that meshes wonderfully with the rest of the pieces.

And you must have a look at the rest of Jeremy & Kathleen’s portfolio, which includes stunning wedding invitations like these beauties that they created for their own wedding. Vellum paper, silhouettes, gorgeous typography … swoon:

Mid-Century Modern Typographic Wedding Invitations

Jaw, meet floor. When I spot a detail like this monogram, created using a feather-like variation of an ultra cool font like Sessions by John Skelton, I know that I’m about to be amazed, and that’s exactly what happened as I drooled over the images of this mid-century style letterpress wedding invitation suite designed by Drew Hodgson for his wedding in Palm Springs, CA and printed by the always awesome Studio on Fire.
The wedding will be held at a mid-century hotel in Palm Springs, and the playful, modular shapes of the Sessions font are the perfect choice to compliment the venue. The invitation is actually a folder enclosure that opens to reveal wedding details on the flap, adding to the fun, playful tone.

Details like the wonderfully colorful bursts, letterpress monogrammed envelopes, and illustrated hummingbird and swirly cloud bands really make this wedding invitation suite so special.

You can see more images from this amazing mid-century modern suite and read more about the techniques and materials used to create the pieces over at the Studio on Fire blog.

Natasha + Stetson’s Purple Plaid Wedding Invitations

These purple plaid wedding invitations for Natasha and Stetson by Kate Miller Events / KME Paperie are blowing my mind! The custom wedding invite suite features three different plaids (and the suite is photographed above on a fourth, which was the fabric used for their DIY table runners) and a fabulous custom monogram, which combines the wheat ring of the bride’s Moldovan heritage and a crest and crown to represent the groom’s Scottish heritage. You can see more images from this perfectly plaid wedding over at Elizabeth Anne Designs.

Melisande + Charles’ Santa Fe Wedding Invitations

Last week on Paper Crave, I featured these fantastically awesome American southwest inspired wedding invitations by Erin Jang of The Indigo Bunting, but I had to post about them here, too, because they are just so very unique and wonderful. Erin designed this suite for Melisande and Charles’ Santa Fe, New Mexico wedding, and she took her inspiration from the shapes and lines found in Navajo rugs and mariachi outfits. The patterns and palette in the invitation are echoed in everything from address labels to reply cards for a look that’s both modern and evocative of the cultural history of the American southwest.

Unique Plantable Letterpress Wedding Invitations

Everything about this plantable letterpress wedding invitation suite, created by A Fine Press and groom/designer Taylor Gorman, is special. Plantable paper always gives invitations, well anything that it’s printed on, actually, such a fantastic look and texture. And it makes for some nice interactivity, too, when the recipients can actually plant the invitations to grow something.
The couple, Taylor and Whitney, wanted invites with a rustic, handmade feel, which led to droolworthy details like stitched antique dictionary page invitation backing, a hand stamped muslin attachment with the couple’s monogram, and a handmade pocket reminiscent of library return card pockets. Both the RSVP card and invitation were printed onto Porridge Papers’ plantable wildflower papers.
