A couple of weeks ago, I featured an absolutely gorgeous foil-stamped wedding invitation that Good Job Creative designed for Helen & Donald’s wedding in Venice, and I was so happy when Neil from Good Job Creative shared one of their latest wedding invitation designs with me.

The black and white letterpress printed design, created for Shannon and Joe’s November wedding, seamlessly blends classic type and color with the playfulness of oh so sweet love bird illustrations for a look that’s upscale but fun.

Yellow + Grey Letterpress Wedding Invitations

Yellow and grey are like peanut butter and jelly; they seem to go together just right, don’t they? I’m completely crushing on this letterpress wedding invitation suite, featuring the dazzling color duo, designed by Lauren Essl of Blue Eye Brown Eye for Anna and Amir’s June wedding.

The bride and groom wanted their invitations to have a bit of a vintage vibe, and Lauren did a great job in giving the entire suite a subtle, mid-century feel by incorporating great pattern, typography, and an arrow and heart motif that adds a touch of sweetness. Love the white calligraphy on the dark grey envelopes, too!

Ornate Navy + White Wedding Invitations

I developed an obsession with navy blue about a year and a half ago, and the obsession with this rich and lovely hue doesn’t seem to have waned a bit. These stunning navy and white letterpress wedding invitations by Sarah Drake only serve to maintain my love of all things navy blue, and the ornate scrollwork , frame elements, envelope calligraphy, and classic type make my heart go pitter pat. A truly outstanding custom suite for Margaret and Jake’s classic affair.

Letterpress Matchbook Invitations for a Summer Wedding

Last month, Martha Stewart Weddings held a giveaway for a custom letterpress wedding invitation suite by the amazing Studio on Fire, and the lucky winners were Juan and Irma, whose Night of San Juan wedding inspired this wonderfully unique matchbook invitation suite.

The Night of San Juan is a Spanish festival which coincides with the summer solstice and is celebrated with beach parties and bonfires, and the orange and white palette – pre-determinded as a part of the giveaway and inspired by the colors of the Martha Stewart Weddings Winter 2011 issue – was a perfect match (no pun intended) for Juan and Irma’s festive Madrid fete.

I love the letterpress printed sun, moon, and star details that carry throughout the pieces in the suite and symbolize the arrival of the summer solstice, and the presentation of the event details in matchbook style is so charming and fun for this festive, informal celebration.

Navy & White Letterpress Seal Invitations

I’m seriously in lust with Nadia & John Anthony’s gorgeous, classic letterpress wedding invitations, created by Vancouver-based designer, Chloe Horowitz. The classic navy and white color palette and engraved-style font used for the couple’s names give the invitations a wonderfully chic and sophisticated feel, but my favorite part has to be the letterpress printed seal, an unexpected element that frames the wedding details and brings an element of clever playfulness to this lovely suite. A similar seal element is echoed in the return address area on the envelopes. – spotted at Behance
