Love vs. Design Birth Announcements

Love vs. Design is well established as a purveyor of pretty, pretty wedding invitations and save the dates, but did you know that they recently launched a lovely line of birth announcements? The absolutely adorable designs include both photo and non-photo announcements, each with a mid-century modern sort of feel. Below are a selection of my favorites from the collection, and you can head over to the Love vs. Design shop to see all of the available designs.

Abigail + Aled’s Whimsical Letterpress Wedding Invites

Whimsical Teal & Yellow Letterpress Wedding Invites

I let out a giggle of delight (a sure sign of a blossoming invitation crush) the moment I set my eyes upon these wonderfully whimsical wedding invites, designed by Aled Lewis for his July wedding to Abigail and letterpress printed by the always awesome Blush.

What’s not to love about these super sweet invites? Playful bunting waves “hello” as pretty florals cascade down each side of this unique wedding invitation. And one of my favorite elements, a double-decker bus illustration (love it!), scoots across the bottom, letting guests know how they can R.S.V.P. to what was certainly a festive celebration.

The Maggie Collection by Weswen Design

Maggie Wedding Invitation Collection

Wendy Wade of Weswen Design loves designing custom invitations for weddings and occasions. But when she started to notice more couples coming to her with smaller stationery budgets and/or timelines that just weren’t a good fit for custom design projects, she started to think about what she, as an invitation designer, could do to make her work accessible to these clients.

In an effort to be able to provide budget and time-minded couples with great wedding invitations, Wendy created the Maggie Collection, which features nine modern invitation designs that will appeal to couples across the style spectrum. Couples can choose the design that works best for them and coordinate it with their colors based on a color palette that compliments the Maggie Collection perfectly. Invitations and coordinating pieces are printed on 130lb. ultra-smooth, uncoated card stock, so they look great and feel great, too!

Whimsical Monogram Save the Dates

Whimsical Monogram Save the Dates

Today’s crush comes to us from Cotton Paperie, who created these beautiful letterpress save the dates for Nick and Rebecca’s September wedding. The three color design was perfectly matched to the couple’s wedding colors and features a wonderfully whimsical monogram front and center, along with a lovely, understated polka dot pattern around the framed details. The save the dates were printed onto super luxe, 220 lb. Crane Lettra stock.

Love Note Wedding Invitations

Elum’s new Love Note wedding invitations seem to have been designed especially for an invitation crush, and you can bet that I’m all aswoon over this incredibly clever suite. The Love Note suite evokes nostalgic memories of homeroom romance and notes passed between young sweethearts.

Each piece in this affordable letterpress wedding suite, a part of Elum’s Umi Collection, looks like it’s drawn onto paper – a page torn out of a spiral notebook, an index card, a postcard, a sheet of loose leaf notebook paper – while playful typography and graphic doodles conjure a sweet, whimsical feeling.
