Bow Tie Birth Announcements

Bow Tie Birth Announcements by Palm Papers

I have a real soft spot for cute birth announcements, not to mention the soft spot that I have for cute babies, and these custom announcements by Palm Papers are absolutely precious. Little Ryder is pretty darn adorable, too!

Lauren from Palm Papers shares:

Nothing is more fun than giving the gift of design. I am at that stage in life where there is a baby boom happening among our friends and family. We have lots of friends welcoming their first child (and sometimes second), and my favorite thing to do for them is to design their birth announcements. This little cutie, Ryder, is the first son of some good friends of ours from Denver, and he made my job easy, quite frankly. That little face steals the show, but I balanced the sweet black and white photo with an adorable little bow tie, fun stripes, and a mustard and grey color palette. I loved how they turned out and so did his proud parents. Gift giving success!

New Year's Eve Wedding Invitations

I was perusing Two Paperdolls gorgeous portfolio when I came across these stunning typographic letterpress wedding invitations that they designed for Kallie and Anthony’s celebration, which also happened to be on one of the most cheery evenings of the year: New Year’s Eve. The beautiful black, yellow, and shimmer-y silver invitations feature vintage-inspired typography and a die cut, letterpress belly band that adds a playful touch to the festive and fantastically designed suite. Ali + Gary’s DIY Letterpress Wedding Invitations

DIY Letterpress Wedding Invitations

I was so excited to find these wedding invitations in my inbox because 1) they’re beautiful – I love the embossed and blind debossed flowers and the rich, yellow ink, and 2) they were made using the L Letterpress Machine, a contraption which I want to love so badly but with which I haven’t had great success. It gives me much hope that such a gorgeous letterpress wedding invitation suite can be done on the L; I may have to go dig mine out of the closet and start playing again.

L Letterpress Wedding Invitations

This lovely suite was designed and printed by Ali Crouch of Lowercase a Design Studio for her own wedding. Ali loves letterpress printing but knew that she wouldn’t be able to fit it into her wedding invitation budget, so the L Letterpress was the next best option for her. She received one from her fiance, Gary, for her birthday and got to work on her plan to print her own invitations. She studied a great post by Boxcar Press about getting good results from the L and splurged on Crane’s Lettra paper, a favorite of letterpress printers. The project was a wonderful success, and Ali ended up printing her entire suite, including the main invite, a response card, a reception card, and a small card that directed their guests to their wedding website for more information the big day.

Because Ali had never printed using the L Letterpress before this project, she decided to stick to a one color design. Inspired by the gorgeous embossed floral paper that she used for her envelope liners, she used blind debossed flowers throughout the entire suite. This allowed her to use only one ink color while giving additional depth and interest to the design.

The pieces in the suite were tied together with ivory ribbon embellished with a paper disc (printed in blush pink) that contained their wedding logo. Envelopes were hand calligraphed by San Antonio-based calligrapher, Jennifer Lavin.

Erin + Bryan’s Elegant Typography Wedding Invitations

Elegant Typography Wedding Invitations

Today I’m crushing on these wonderfully elegant, letterpress wedding invitations, designed by Erin (the bride), who also happens to be a fine artist and graphic designer. Erin and Bryan wanted a wedding that was uniquely them, and they added their personal touch to as many of their wedding details as they could, from the Ketubah that Erin painted to the ceremony fan programs, welcome bags, and small signs around the reception.

The gorgeous gray and chartreuse wedding invitations have a fresh feel, perfect for the couple’s summer garden wedding, and feature classic type and an elegant script face, with the couple’s names printed on an angle for bit of a modern twist. Coordinating pieces include an info card and a very clever, rhyming RSVP card that was a big hit with invited guests.

The suite was letterpress printed by Baltimore’s  Gilah Press + Design, and calligraphy is by Baltimore-based Laura Condouris.

Cute Illustrated Wedding Invites by CUTandPASTE

Cute Illustrated Wedding Invites

Valentina from CUTandPASTE designed this fun, custom wedding suite for Erica and Massimiliano’s big day, and the sunshine yellow, black, and white color palette and sophisticated typography are an elegant contrast to the sweet, casual caricature illustrations, which were created by Federica Lucchi and feature the couple and their “animal family”, a fun-loving dog and a super cute bunny rabbit. Daisy illustrations serve as a graphic motif to tie the pieces in the suite together and to bring a casual element to the classic, typographic design.

The full wedding suite includes invitations, thank you tags, favor tags, ceremony programs, flower eyelets on select piece (such a fun detail!), and plenty of pins for the guests.

Lily Barn Letterpress Wedding Invites

Yellow and Gray Letterpress Wedding Invitations

Oh, how I’m crushing on these beautiful yellow and gray letterpress wedding invites, designed for Stephanie and Michael’s Tennessee wedding by Fourth Year Studio. The fantastic, accordion fold invitation features hand drawn illustrations that outline the ground line at the couple’s venue, The Lily Barn, including the couple and the venue’s trademark feature, a unique, cantilevered barn. Abstract yellow lilies float and flutter around the couple as they stand beside the barn with their doggies. So sweet.

Tiny Envelope Enclosure

One of my favorite details is the teensy yellow envelope on the invitation, which encloses a folded vellum map of the wedding and reception site. I love me some teeny, tiny envelopes.

Whimsical Yellow + Gray Wedding Invites

Yellow and Gray Letterpress Wedding Invites

Ready for a little quick crush? I spotted these wonderful yellow and gray letterpress wedding invitations by Hello! Lucky over on Ruffled last week, and I just had to share them here. These lovely invites are actually a customization of the Whimsy Wedding Invitation suite from Hello! Lucky’s collection, and whoah, they’re fantastic!

I just love the letterpressed key, tied with a sweet bow, on the save the dates, and the looped pattern that frames the wedding details on the invitation card and is echoed in the envelope liner pattern and on the address labels really sets a fun tone, don’t you think? Plus, the reply card with the letterpress printed pen – so great!
