Alan + Megan’s Elegant Black & White Wedding Invitations

Elegant Black White Letterpress Wedding Invitations

Today I’m completely crushing on these elegant, modern black and white letterpress wedding invitations by Fourth Year Studio for Alan and Megan’s July celebration. The classic elegance of a black and white color palette is enhanced by wonderful textural details like blind debossing (swoon), a tulle wrap, and a gauzy, vellum overlay.

Dianna from Fourth Year Studio shares about this beautiful letterpress suite:

Megan and Alan are two talented young architects, and it was no surprise that they thoughtfully perfected every detail of their wedding. Their event was elegant, clean, and beautiful – modern with traditional undertones. The palette is simple with black and white with layers of complimentary textures.

After receiving an addressed calligraphy envelope with custom postage, the guest will pull out a package wrapped in tulle. As the tulle is unwrapped a vellum overlay is removed to offer a reveal of Megan and Alan’s names blind pressed with a deep relief into 220lb crane lettra cotton stock. A series of pressed bars accentuate the black text to add another layer of texture. A map of the wedding location illustrates a blind pressed river with the venues located. The final piece of the set is the rsvp pocket and reply card. It was important to house the smaller rsvp card and envelope without losing the feel and proportion of the set.

Rustic, Vintage Lace Wedding Invitations

Vintage Lace Wedding Invitations

My heart skipped a beat (or three) as soon as I laid eyes on this absolutely gorgeous letterpress wedding suite from Lion in the Sun. The texture. Oh, my goodness. The texture! How I would love to be able to reach through the computer screen and run my fingers over the luxe, letterpressed lace and soft, deckled edges.

Here’s what Melinda from Lion in the Sun has to say about Maiz and Ziad’s amazing invitations:

Mais wanted something unique and grand with a vintage lace and rustic feel for her Detroit wedding.

We used with this handmade deckled edge paper gatefold with scanned in lace design. Letterpressed on this great deep textured paper the lace looks like it was embedded right in the paper, and the deckled edge just adds another amazing dimension. The toast ink gives it all a warm vintage feel.

The whole suite feels like a cherished heirloom lovingly stored in grandmother’s steamer trunk.

Ah, swoon. I’m head over heels for this amazing watercolor save the date by Spencer Studio. The combination of angular, overlapping watercolor shapes gives the design such great depth and texture, and the colors are absolutely fantastic! – found via seesaw

Elegant Blue + Celadon Letterpress Wedding Invitations

Elegant Blue Lettepress Wedding Invitations

One word about these invitations: texture. Oh, and elegant. And gorgeous. I guess that’s more than one word, huh? These custom letterpress wedding invitations for Hallie and Jonathan from Lucky Luxe are simply stunning, and the texture, wow, the texture. The letterpress printed florals on the invitation feature details so fine that I immediately thought of fingerprints, and the vintage blue and celadon color palette is so refined and elegant. I’m also gaga over the mix of traditional type with kraft paper on the letterpressed envelopes.

Drool …. gorgeous texture:
