Berlyn’s Sweet Woodland Baby Shower Invitations

It was crush at first sight when these lovely woodland baby shower invitations for baby Berlyn by Moira Design Studio popped up in my inbox recently. The whimsical floral illustrations and hand-lettering create a look that’s light and sweet, and the hand stamped wood invitations make my invitation-loving heart go pitter pat.

Jessi from Moira Design Studio shares about this wonderfully unique project:

The shower theme was woodland, organic, and natural, so we wanted to keep the invitation along those same lines. I really wanted to incorporate wood, so we started with a custom rubber stamp that we hand lettered and illustrated and used that to stamp on wood. There were two additional inserts – the first with her registry information on it, and the second was a bookplate to put inside the book that each guest was asked to bring in lieu of a card.

Each of the additional pieces feature hand illustrated work and are printed front and back on lovely thick cotton letterpress paper. The suite was wrapped in matching printed vellum, bound together with an open weave burlap, tied again with moss green satin ribbon, and topped with a miniature (I love anything that comes in mini!) clothespin and a little matching sign that read “please join us”. The entire suite was tucked into a brown kraft box and sealed with a wrap around label. A darling suite for a darling mom-to-be!

Ash + Jason’s Illustrated Country Wedding Invitations

KeeganMeegan & Co’s portfolio is filled with incredible, illustrated letterpress wedding invitations, and I’m completely enamored with this crush-worthy, custom suite that they created for Ash & Jason’s August wedding.

The fully custom, illustrated wedding invitation suite was designed with care for Ash & Jason’s very “country Iowa” wedding, and the creative crew at KeeganMeegan obviously had much fun working with the lovely couple on this unique project. The suite includes a custom art print invitation featuring a sweet illustration of the couple, along with coordinating response cards, invitation cards, and matching envelopes. The palette of rich, deep green and warm, golden yellow (PMS 363U and 1235U, respectively) brings such a cozy and inviting tone to this unique, country-inspired suite.

Summer Camp + Woodland-Inspired Wedding Invitations

I am SO crushing on this seriously sweet, summer camp and woodland-inspired letterpress wedding invitation suite by For the Love of Press. Oh, my goodness, where to begin? The completely charming, hand-drawn woodland details, banners, and signs? The equally wonderful, custom wedding map? The cute, hand-stamped muslin bags? There’s so much to enjoy about this wedding suite, and I’m sure that the invited guests did just that when they opened these wonderful wedding invites.

Marissa from For the Love of Press has this to say about this undeniably fun project:

My clients came to me looking for an effortlessly elegant yet whimsical wedding invitation suite representative of their love of camping, the Northwest, and nature. We wanted to perfectly set the stage for their destination wedding location, Doe Bay on Orcas Island in the Puget Sound, Washington. We decided to create a casual, charming tone that would touch the heartstrings and bring back the guests’ fond childhood memories of summer camp and the outdoors, along with a bit of the Woodland earthiness.

The suite is bursting with nostalgic, nature-inspired, illustrated details – from pine boughs, trees, pine cones, and deer peeking out behind trees (think Doe Bay!) to Orca whales (for Orcas Island, of course) to illustrated wooden signs and waving banners (Summer camp insignia all the way!). Guests will be renting individual rustic wood cabins and yurts for the weekend-long event, located in an area rich with off-the-beaten-path trails that meander through beautiful woodland scenery teeming with wooden directional signs, a detail that we really played up in the invitation suite.

We letterpress printed the invitation in two colors on 100% cotton paper, with post-consumer-recycled Kraft paper touches (the RSVP label, envelopes, and belly band- subtly blind printed with their wedding logo, a half pine wreath with deer silhouette). We also created different versions of their logo and turned them into rubber stamps for use on the envelope flap and the muslin bags, which were hand-stamped and held some of the smaller cards inside. Almost every detail of this suite was hand-drawn and digitized for printing. As a little extra, our sister company created a thick, waving banner cake topper to match their suite! The invitation radiates an outdoorsy, natural feel and certainly readies guests for this nostalgic trip, where they will enjoy summer camp-style guest cabins and a bonfire (s’mores included).

Unique Illustrated Letterpress Birth Announcements

I am in awe of these unique and absolutely stunning, illustrated letterpress birth announcements from ColorQuarry, a Rhode Island-based studio founded by illustrator and RISD graduate, Amanda McCorkle, who has worked for clients ranging from the corporate, publishing, and automotive industries to children’s, arts, and maritime museums. These amazing announcements feature imagery specific to the client, with themes that include woodland, ocean, circus, and celestial and illustrations that evoke a spirit of wonder and adventure.

Each birth announcement is letterpress printed by hand onto Crane Lettra paper to create what will certainly become paper keepsakes for each lucky recipient.

Kristen + Thomas’ Classic Modern Wedding Invites

I love to see classic wedding invitations that incorporate a playful, modern touch, and Kristen and Thomas’ gorgeous invitation suite, designed by Lion in the Sun, is a great example of this blend of classic and modern.

Kristen and Thomas were looking for a classic, elegant invitation with a twist. The invitation features a hand-calligraphy-like font on a slight slant in charcoal thermography on oyster white card stock, a modern take on a traditional wedding invite. Our favorite part is the details card, which ties in the classic calligraphy on the top but features an illustration of the couple’s faces that literally personalizes the whole thing. We also love the pop of red from the rustic heart design, and the bright yellow envelope liner really makes this invitation stand apart from the rest!

Cute Illustrated Wedding Invites by CUTandPASTE

Valentina from CUTandPASTE designed this fun, custom wedding suite for Erica and Massimiliano’s big day, and the sunshine yellow, black, and white color palette and sophisticated typography are an elegant contrast to the sweet, casual caricature illustrations, which were created by Federica Lucchi and feature the couple and their “animal family”, a fun-loving dog and a super cute bunny rabbit. Daisy illustrations serve as a graphic motif to tie the pieces in the suite together and to bring a casual element to the classic, typographic design.

The full wedding suite includes invitations, thank you tags, favor tags, ceremony programs, flower eyelets on select piece (such a fun detail!), and plenty of pins for the guests.
