Sandy from Roseville Designs shares:

Lyla + Chris are having an elegant and preppy May wedding in Greenwich, Connecticut. They love golf and, since their wedding weekend will be hosted at a country club, they wanted to tie that into their design. I created a custom “monogram” with golf clubs that can be used as a motif throughout their wedding paper story. Here, we incorporated it as part of the return address on the envelope. For the actual save the date, I went for a classic calendar look, which we had flat-printed on textured felt stock. The final touch (and my favorite detail) is the bold argyle envelope liner, which pairs nicely with the elegant look of the actual card.

Preppy, Kate Spade-Inspired Save the Dates

Kate Spade-Inspired Save the Dates

I was so excited to hear from Courtney, editor of the fantabulously inspiring party and entertaining blog, Pizzazzerie, who shared her oh so chic, Kate Spade-inspired photo save the dates, designed by Kate of Custom Paper Works. These black, white, and kelly green beauties, which feature a photo of the lovely couple on the reverse, are rockin’ my invitation world!

Here’s what Courtney has to say about this stylish project:

As a full-time blogger on all things entertaining + parties, I knew I wanted my wedding theme to be a bit whimsical and fun. I have chosen a Kate Spade-inspired black and white striped design with touches of kelly green for my wedding. After working with Kate of Custom Paper Works on a New Years Eve styled shoot last year, I knew she was the right person to design my save-the-dates. I told her that black + white stripes were a must, as well as including a photo from my engagement shoot with Kate Whitmore Photography. I wanted them to be stylish, whimsical, and luxe all at the same time. Kate delivered beyond my expectations.

The envelope was a Stardream shimmer paper in green which opened to a darling black and white striped envelope liner. The striped envelope liner was my absolute favorite element. The return address on the envelope even incorporated a small guitar motif as a nod to our home town of Nashville, TN. A shimmer black paper held our engagement photo on one side and details on the other. Details were printed in a whimsical frame and foil-stamped on the card. Several complimentary fonts were used that I just adore.

Faurum + Alexander’s Modern Indian Wedding Invitations

Thanks to Samantha from InviteInk for sharing these lovely, modern Indian wedding invitations that were created for Faurum and Alexander’s big day. The combination of a fresh chartreuse and chocolate brown color palette and details like vellum printed details cards with more traditional Indian symbols and graphics gives the invites such a dynamic, contemporary feel.

The pieces in the suite are tucked into a multi-pocket folder and wrapped with matching wrap-around labels for a clean, upscale finish, and matching program book coordinate perfectly with this sleek suite.

Navy Blue + Green Spring Floral Invitations

Navy Blue + Green Wedding Invitations

Back in December, I featured a delightful vintage floral wedding suite by Krista McCormick, who recently shared another wonderful floral suite with me. This suite was created for her best friend’s May wedding and features a fantastic navy blue and green palette and absolutely lovely floral illustrations. Printing was done by InviteInk.

Krista also recently launched a new invitation/stationery line called “A Piece of Kake”, and you can check out the that latest happenings with the new line right here.

Here’s what Krista had to say about this fun project:

I had a few ideas envisioned for Emily and Jon’s suite, but they liked this design because of the boldness of the flowers. I found the perfect font to depict the look and feel of the flowers — natural, rough and elegant at the same time. I also enjoyed embedding their wedding date in every piece.

We decided on tying the pieces together with ribbon rather than using a pocket-fold since Emily wanted to have a more casual feel. And the ribbon ended up coordinating perfectly with the bridesmaids’ dresses, which had ribbon belts. Luckily, I was able to find the matching metallic green ribbon. It was the perfect final touch!

Classic Mackinac Island Wedding Invitations

Affordable Green + Black Wedding Invitations

Designer Nathalie Carrigan of 120 Water Street shows us that affordable and classically elegant can go hand in hand with this green and black wedding suite that she designed for Andrea and Christopher’s Memorial Day weekend Mackinac Island, Michigan wedding.

Andrea was looking for a luxurious wedding invitation that wouldn’t break the bank. She was planning Memorial Day weekend wedding on Mackinac Island at a gorgeous historical hotel (appropriately called the Grand Hotel), and she wanted to incorporate bits and pieces from the island in her stationery. We printed digitally (to save on costs) but used ultra thick 100% cotton cardstock and envelopes, which really gave these invitations a special feel.

On Mackinac Island, there are no motorized vehicles, so all transportation is by bicycle or horse drawn carriage. We used the Grand Hotel logo, which is a horse and carriage, and turned that into Andrea and Chris’ wedding monogram. On her RSVP card, we incorporated a silhouette of the Mackinac bridge, and on hersave the dates we incorporated a silhouette of the Grand Hotel – the exact location on the large porch where the ceremony was to take place.

Becca + George’s Rhode Island Beach Wedding Invitations

Beach Wedding Letterpress Invitations

Ooh, I’m totally crushing on this soft and romantic beach wedding invitation suite that Parrott Design Studio created for Becca and George’s June wedding. The rich navy silhouette illustrations that feature throughout the suite are evocative of the Rhode Island beach town where the couple is getting married, and the seagull patterned envelopes bring a playful touch, perfect for the fun & casual day that Becca and George have planned.

The pink reply cards are one of my favorite details. First, the combination of pink and navy – love! The use of pale pink stock is unexpected, yet it fits so wonderfully with the navy and green in the rest of the pieces in the suite.
