Foundry (Dressed) Typographic Letterpress Wedding Invitations

Bold, Typographic Letterpress Wedding Invitations (Foundry) | Tweedle Press

It’s a new year, and that means oodles of new, crushtastic invitation designs. Woohoo!

I thought I’d start the year off with a bang in the form of these ultra bold, typographic letterpress invites from Tweedle Press. If your tastes run more MoMA than mainstream, then this is your kind of wedding invitation. The original and most definitely eye-catching Foundry (Dressed) invitation suite is a little bit retro and a little bit modern, angular, layered. It’s a piece of modern art announcing the details of your upcoming wedding celebration. And, while you can order these awesome invites in your own custom colors, I have to say that I am totally digging the deep teal-y palette shown here:

Jessica + Austin’s Bold Art Deco Wedding Invitations

I spotted this absolutely stunning, Deco-ish wedding invitation suite by Austin Petito (a.k.a. the groom) over on Benign Objects recently and just had to share a peek over here. I love the bold, rich color palette and Art Deco style, which is something that I think we’ll be seeing more of in the coming year due to the popularity and influence of the recent adaptation of The Great Gatsby.

Head on over to Petito’s site to see even more of this gorgeous wedding suite.

Nick + Tania’s Coral and Mint Wedding Invitations

Coral + Mint Typographic Wedding Invitations | James Prunean

Everything about this eye-catching wedding suite by James Prunean for Nick + Tania’s big day is bold. From the solid splashes of coral and mint to the rich, black type – sometimes swashy and sometimes serif – these wedding invitations get your attention in a big way. I’m loving the playful little envelope flap details, too!

Playful Envelope Details | James Prunean

James shares:

Nick and Tania are a very young couple and didn’t want their invitations to feel like they take themselves too seriously, especially since they are having a small ceremony with their family and friends, followed by an informal cocktail reception. Their wedding colors are coral and mint, and they wanted their invites to reflect that, so we created these dynamic invitations using different colors for each of the pieces in the suite. We also used a great font that has lots of movement to contrast the hard edges of the black borders in the design, and we love the simplicity of the bold and graphic result.

Modern Navy Chevron Wedding Invites

Modern Navy Chevron Wedding Invites by Smitten on Paper

Chevron is a smokin’ hot wedding invitation trend right now, and I’m crushing on this bold take on the classic chevron pattern by Smitten on Paper. The rich, navy blue and ivory suite features sleek typography throughout, and the pieces in the suite are well complimented by chevron-lined kraft envelopes, which add a nice contrast the deep navy blue. These invites would be a fantastic choice for any design-minded couple looking for a wedding suite that’s a little bit preppy or subtly nautical.
