Quirky Travel Themed Wedding Invitations

Ooh, I cannot get enough of the awesome travel-themed wedding invitations. I spotted this chic, modern wedding suite by Kathleen Shannon over at Design Crush, and it was squee at first sight. The couple, Vanessa and George, met while working for the State Department in Iraq, and they love traveling, maps, Wes Anderson movies, and giant squids. Giant squids, you say? I have to agree, giant squids are pretty awesome. The couple also wanted to include pi, as well as Par Avion written in Persian, somewhere in the suite. This couple is so cool.

Kathleen used Anderson’s The Life Aquatic as inspiration for the suite and brought all of the couple’s fun and quirky element ideas together to create pieces that are simply irresistible, with luggage tag RSVP cards, airmail themed save the dates (featuring the aforementioned Par Avion in Persian), and an invitation that includes nautical elements and a hint of a giant squid.
