Everything about this eye-catching wedding suite by James Prunean for Nick + Tania’s big day is bold. From the solid splashes of coral and mint to the rich, black type – sometimes swashy and sometimes serif – these wedding invitations get your attention in a big way. I’m loving the playful little envelope flap details, too!

James shares:

Nick and Tania are a very young couple and didn’t want their invitations to feel like they take themselves too seriously, especially since they are having a small ceremony with their family and friends, followed by an informal cocktail reception. Their wedding colors are coral and mint, and they wanted their invites to reflect that, so we created these dynamic invitations using different colors for each of the pieces in the suite. We also used a great font that has lots of movement to contrast the hard edges of the black borders in the design, and we love the simplicity of the bold and graphic result.

It’s just about that time of the year again, time when all of the paper mavens flock to NYC for the National Stationery Show, where they bask in paper love as they walk from aisle to aisle filled to the brim with pretty paper goods. B.T. Elements will be adding to the pretty paper on display with their 2013 wedding invitation collection, which will make its debut at the NSS later this month (booth #2337). But today, lucky duckies, I’m giving you a little sneak peek at the new collection, which includes designs that feature oodles of painterly and hand drawn elements. You’ll find sweet and lacy suites (above), lovely floral themes, and pretty, preppy details amongst the new designs. Here, take a peek:

Sandy Picco, the very talented designer behind The Occasional Hello, recently launched a new collection of wedding invitations and, wowsa, is this collection filled with crushable designs!

Sandy has a passion for design, typography, and beautiful paper, and this completely shows through in her gorgeous designs, which are so very modern but which also contain touches of the classic and traditional. These designs are fresh, clean, and typographic, with motifs that range from whimsical and woodsy to ornate to nautical.

All designs in The Occasional Hello wedding collection are offered in both digital and letterpress print options, and Sandy loves and welcomes custom design requests, working one-on-one with each and every couple.

If you love letterpress, then get ready to do some ogling because Minted recently launched their first ever collection of letterpress wedding invitations, and it’s absolutely beautiful. The crush-worthy collection includes 29 designs from the Minted wedding collection, now available in gorgeous letterpress form.

Each invite is printed on vintage Heidelberg Windmill presses, and extensive customization choices are available, including 25 font options, 2 -a -er types, and up to 3-color letterpress printing. It was crush at first sight when these lovely woodland baby shower invitations for baby Berlyn by Moira Design Studio popped up in my inbox recently. The whimsical floral illustrations and hand-lettering create a look that’s light and sweet, and the hand stamped wood invitations make my invitation-loving heart go pitter pat.

Jessi from Moira Design Studio shares about this wonderfully unique project:

The shower theme was woodland, organic, and natural, so we wanted to keep the invitation along those same lines. I really wanted to incorporate wood, so we started with a custom rubber stamp that we hand lettered and illustrated and used that to stamp on wood. There were two additional inserts – the first with her registry information on it, and the second was a bookplate to put inside the book that each guest was asked to bring in lieu of a card.

Each of the additional pieces feature hand illustrated work and are printed front and back on lovely thick cotton letterpress paper. The suite was wrapped in matching printed vellum, bound together with an open weave burlap, tied again with moss green satin ribbon, and topped with a miniature (I love anything that comes in mini!) clothespin and a little matching sign that read “please join us”. The entire suite was tucked into a brown kraft box and sealed with a wrap around label. A darling suite for a darling mom-to-be!
