2011 Wedding Collection from Bella Figura

Chapin Letterpress Wedding Invitation

I could get lost (in fact, I almost have a couple of times so far) in the beautiful collection of new letterpress wedding invitations from Bella Figura. Whatever your aesthetic is, I can pretty much guarantee that you’re going to gravitate toward at least one of the designs in the new collection. There’s a little something for everyone: classic, nautical, whimsical, ultra modern, mid-century inspired. I’m only sharing a teeny peek at the new collection, including the wonderful Chapin design by Patricia Mumau (shown above), but you can see everything in its letterpress printed glory at Bella Figura.

Get ready to swoon!

Navy & White Letterpress Seal Invitations

Navy and White Letterpress Wedding Invitations

I’m seriously in lust with Nadia & John Anthony’s gorgeous, classic letterpress wedding invitations, created by Vancouver-based designer, Chloe Horowitz. The classic navy and white color palette and engraved-style font used for the couple’s names give the invitations a wonderfully chic and sophisticated feel, but my favorite part has to be the letterpress printed seal, an unexpected element that frames the wedding details and brings an element of clever playfulness to this lovely suite. A similar seal element is echoed in the return address area on the envelopes. – spotted at Behance

Black & White Invitations for a Wales Wedding

Mr. Boddington certainly has a way with the wedding invitation design, and this lovely black and white wedding invitation suite for Katherine and Robert was a perfect fit for their quirky and clever wedding in Wales. One of my favorite details from the suite is the map, which directs guests to the oldest antiquary bookshop in town, but I’m also delighted by the patterns that show up in everything from the envelope liners to backdrops for the seating cards.

See additional photos and details from this wedding over at Mr. Boddington’s blog.

Liz + Andy’s Teal and Red Poster Invitations

Teal and Red Screen Printed Wedding Invitations

Ooh, retro-licious! I spotted these lovelies over at Benign Objects and am totally crushing. Andy Luce, the groom and designer, wanted to capture the feel of newspapers and playbills from the 1930’s and 1940’s in his wedding suite, and he hand silk-screened the teal and red, poster-size invitations, as well as coordinating postcard RSVPs, for a result that’s bold and evocative of another time.

Find out more about these invitations, and the companion wedding website, at Benign Objects and at Andy Luce’s site.

Rosebrook Meyer : Stylish, Modern Wedding Invitations

Rosebrook Meyer Wedding Invitations

As soon as I spotted Rosebrook Meyer’s gorgeous, modern wedding invitation collection over on Felt & Wire, I knew that I needed to share it over here, but I have to admit that I had a bit of trouble narrowing it down to just a few samples to show you.

Rosebrook Meyer is new on the scene, and they specialize in creating invites that are a visual delight for fashion forward couples. “Stylish” truly is the perfect word to describe these modern invitations, which exemplify the notion of beauty in simplicity. I just love the focus on clean typography and bold color and imagery. You can find out more about Rosebrook Meyer over at Felt & Wire, and be sure to have a look at the entire Rosebrook Meyer invitation collection, too.

A Clever Letterpress Birth Announcement for Stella

I like any sort of invitation or announcement that goes outside the box in a clever, stylish way, so naturally I’m crushing on these beautiful letterpress birth announcements for baby Stella, designed by new mom and graphic designer, Terry Baker, of Curious & Company and printed – in pinpoint perfect registration – by Cleanwash Letterpress. The design blends beer (an absolutely inspired take on the Stella Artois label) and baby (not literally!) for a result that’s bold, beautiful, and unexpected. – via FPO

Rachel + Eric’s Whimsical Pink and Navy Invitations

Jolby Pink and Navy Blue Patterned Wedding Invitations

It was crush at first sight when I recently discovered the illustration work of Jolby (additional Jolby swooning can be seen over at Paper Crave this week), and I’m tickled pink (and navy blue) over these wonderfully whimsical wedding invitations that they designed for Rachel and Eric’s February wedding. The custom pattern features Jolby’s amazing illustrations in shades of pink and navy blue and represents Portland, where the couple currently lives, and Fresno, where they grew up. I just love the little sun and tree stump!

The use of Lady Rene by Sudtipos (love this font!) lends additional whimsy and a fairytale feel to these fun wedding invites.
