I featured these gorgeous, hand-lettered letterpress invitations over at Paper Crave a couple of weeks ago, but they’re so lovely that I wanted to shared them over here, too. The invitations were designed by Satsuki Shibuya, who recently launched the Los Angeles based graphic design and product design studio, Zakka Nouveau, and designed these hand-lettered lovelies for her own upcoming wedding.
The project was a true labor of love and features a wonderful combination of hand-lettering (by Satsuki), a gorgeous gray and pink color palette, and a classic chevron pattern in pink and creme on the reverse of the invite. These unique wedding invitations combine the old and the new for a look that’s oh so chic, but with a touch of fun, too. Check out more photos and details from custom invitation project over at Paper Crave, and check out Zakka Nouveau’s portfolio to see more of Satsuki’s work.

There’s something about gold, silver, copper — any metallic — that gives an invite a special, festive feel, and I’m most definitely crushing on these custom boxed bridal shower invites that Courtney from Seamless Paperie created for a small, personal shower for a friend of her mother. I would feel so special if I received this invite; it’s like a pretty little gift just for the recipients!

I love it when I open my feed reader and see something so outstanding that my heart goes pitter pat, and that’s exactly what happened when I spotted these super fun letterpress wedding invitations by Erin Jang. Happy sigh …
See, these invites are so awesome that I can’t even find the words to express how much I love them. The sweet, mid-century modern style faces, the perfect teal and red color palette, the plaid and houndstooth patterns (omigosh, the faces inside the houndstooth patterned envelope liner!) —I’m simply floored by this entire suite. And I have a feeling that you will be, too:

It was crush at first sight when I spotted Mitchell & Dent’s wedding stationery lovelies over at The Inspired Bride. The Leederville, Western Australia based “Purveyors of Ephemera of Note” create wedding invites, save the dates, and other wedding ephemera with a clean, modern feel, and I love the touches of whimsy that they add here and there to create an overall style that’s truly their own.
Mitchell & Dent carry both flat printed and letterpress printed wedding stationery, and available and/or suggested colorways are listed with each suite. Head over to the Mitchell & Dent site to see their entire line.

Ah, swoon! I’m completely taken with Ryan and Jeshurun’s custom letterpress wedding invitations. Any bookworm would be, don’t you think? The invites were designed by Jeshurun, who was finishing up a Master’s thesis in graphic design at RISD while designing the suite, and inspired by the couple’s history together. Ryan manages a coffee shop (the couple met in a coffee shop, too), and I love the coffee cup elements that feature prominently on the oh so sweet bookmark save the dates. Add to all of the wonderful illustration and printing a magenta-purple and blue-gray color palette, and I’m completely hooked on these fantastic invites. – found via FPO
Invitations were letterpress printed by Elana at Spoon & Sailor Letterpress.

The chill of autumn may be here in the Eastern US, but these gorgeous gatefold garden wedding invitations by Parrott Design Studio allow me to almost smell the late summer blooms in the air. These custom invites were created for Lisa and David, who were married earlier this year at the Nassau County Museum of Art, and the museum’s gardens served as inspiration for their lovely, floral invites.
I’m loving all of the small details – a buzzing bee here, a rosebud there – that make these garden-inspired invitations truly special, and the bright green and pink color palette gives the design a vibrance that is wonderful for any season of the year. Calligraphy for the envelopes is by Li Ward of Fat Orange Cat Studio, who created a new style just for the couple. See more details, and find out more about these lovely invitations, over at the Parrott Design Studio blog.

These custom letterpress birth announcements for baby Grace are so much fun! Matt and Claire, Grace’s parents, encouraged Slow Industries to think out of the box with this custom design, and the result is a super neato, rodeo-themed letterpress tri-fold announcement that features a cutie patootie linocut illustration of the baby on a rocking horse, as well as linocut starbursts and wood and metal type, which give the announcement a great, old school feel. Such a clever concept!

Nautical wedding themes are so popular right now, and I’m love, love, loving Bird & Banner’s take on the theme. These incredible nautical flag inspired invites were featured in the recent Destinations special issue of Martha Stewart Weddings, and I’m completely aswoon over the unique shape, rope details, flag-shaped canvas covers, and ultra modern typography.

Oh, how I’m crushing on these ultra elegant, black and white letterpress wedding invitations, printed by Cleanwash Letterpress and designed by Chick Invitations for Leeron and Matthew. The classically beautiful type in bold black against a luxe white background truly makes these invites a standout, and I love the little lovebird graphic on the reply card. So sweet and unexpected, and they give the invitations just a touch of whimsy.
