Romantic Story Wedding Invitations

Romantic Story Wedding Invitations

Today’s invitation crush is utterly romantic, totally sweet, and filled with lovely chemistry. The Story wedding invitation suite by Anticipate Invitations blends classic floral pattern in a rose and white color palette with do-it-yourself details for a look that’s a little bit Victorian with clever, modern style.

From Anticipate : True romantics at heart, Catherine and Thomas used lush peonies and lace cutouts throughout their wedding design. Tea cups filled with gumdrops held each guest’s name and seating assignment. Menus with scalloped borders were paired with table number vases wrapped in pressed velvet. Vials filled with cinnamon hearts—and a label announcing that ‘Love is Intoxicating’—were given as favors.

Velvet Table Number DIY

Above (right) : The awesome velvet table numbers were created using custom number rubber stamps overlaid with strips of velvet (velvet side facing the stamp). Lightly spray the back of the velvet with water, and use an iron on medium for about 10 seconds to crush the velvet. This technique works best with larger numbers, but Michael from Anticipate Invitations had success with type as small as 14pt.

Mason Jar Wedding Invitations

Mason Jar Wedding Invitations

I am all about mason jars, and it was crush at first sight when I spotted these Mason Jar Marriage wedding invitations by Honey Bee Invites, a new wedding invitation design company based in Atlanta, Georgia. The fun, die cut design and red/teal color combo instantly caught my eye, as did the super cute, baker’s twine tie at the top of the invites. Head over to Honey Bee’s site to see more of their custom invitation designs, including wedding invitations, baby shower invites, and holiday party designs.

Cute Illustrated Wedding Invites by CUTandPASTE

Cute Illustrated Wedding Invites

Valentina from CUTandPASTE designed this fun, custom wedding suite for Erica and Massimiliano’s big day, and the sunshine yellow, black, and white color palette and sophisticated typography are an elegant contrast to the sweet, casual caricature illustrations, which were created by Federica Lucchi and feature the couple and their “animal family”, a fun-loving dog and a super cute bunny rabbit. Daisy illustrations serve as a graphic motif to tie the pieces in the suite together and to bring a casual element to the classic, typographic design.

The full wedding suite includes invitations, thank you tags, favor tags, ceremony programs, flower eyelets on select piece (such a fun detail!), and plenty of pins for the guests.

Autumn Wedding Invitations by Dingbat Press

Autumn Wedding Invitations

This gorgeous letterpress wedding suite by Dingbat Press is absolutely perfect for a fall celebration, and I’m totally crushing on the unexpected color palette of peacock blue and rust orange, which is vibrant, yet autumnal at the same time. Jennifer and Cristina’s letterpress wedding suite also included lovely details (I mean, besides the beautiful design itself), like escort cards paired with a sweet, die cut pouch.

Circus Tea Party Invitations

Circus Tea Party Invitations

Jag Nagra of Page 84 Design is, without a doubt, the queen of unique and inventive tea party invitations. She created these awesome Alice in Wonderland tea party invitations that I featured last summer, and she also recently shared these super cool poster invites that she created for a circus-themed tea party for friends. What fantastic color and illustration!

Here’s what Jag had to say about this fun project:

For the 11×17 invitation poster, I illustrated 3 characters: the World’s Strongest Man, the Ringmaster, and the World’s Tallest Woman. These characters also made appearances on the wine bottles, along with a few other characters, including a fairly accurate self-portrait of myself and Angela on the Clown Label.

Labels were printed on glossy 80 lb. text paper, and – to add to the quirkiness of the event – were adhered onto mismatched wine labels. The total cost for printing the invitations and wine labels: less than $20. Goes to show that you don’t need to spend a fortune to make a strong visual impact!
